Mr. Jia-xuan Zhang successfully defended his Master thesis

On Dec 13, 2023, Mr. Jia-xuan Zhang supervised by Prof. Zhen Fang, successfully defended his thesis at C302 Yuxian Building, Pukou Campus of Nanjing Agricultural University. The defending committee was composed of Prof. Xue-feng Xin (Chair) from Nanjing Tech University, Profs Wei-min Ding & Chun-xia He, Dr. Lu-jiang Xu and Dr. Wei Chen from Nanjing Agricultural University (NJAU).

Mr. Zhang presented his research results for master thesis, the committee members raised relevant questions. Based on the replies and their reviewed, the panels agreed that Mr. Zhang had successfully completed his research and course requirements in agricultural bio-environment and energy engineering. Mr. Zhang studied microbial lipids from food wastes by Cryptococcus curvatus ATCC 20509 with his thesis entitled "Study on microbial oil production from discarded cooked rice and shrimp shell by Cryptococcus curvatus". He significantly improved the efficiency of lipid production by co-fermenting glucose and N-acetylglucosamine from food waste with Cryptococcus curvatus. Meanwhile, the acetic acid waste liquid collected after the demineralization process was utilized to produce microbial lipid, thus achieving the recycling and reutilization of the waste liquid. And He published 1 academic papers.

After the juries voted by secret ballot, the panels agreed to confer a Master of Engineering degree to Mr. Jia-xuan Zhang, subjected to the approval by the Academic Degrees Committees of the college and university.

张家璇同志顺利通过硕士论文答辩

20231213日下午,南京农业大学生物能源组2019级硕士生张家璇(导师方真教授)毕业答辩会在南京农业大学浦口校区育贤楼C302举行,南京工业大学的信丰学教授担任答辩委员会主席,南京农业大学的丁为民教授、何春霞教授、徐禄江副教授和陈伟副教授共四位专家担任评审委员。

答辩会上,张家璇同学对其在校内的学术论文进行汇报,同时答辩委员会主席和各位评委提出了相关问题。根据张家璇同学的问题回答以及学位论文的评阅,评委会经过评审决议,抑制认为张家璇同学顺利完成了农业生物环境与能源方面的研究和学习要求。张家璇同学在毕业论文《通过弯曲隐球酵母利用厨余米饭和虾壳生产微生物油脂的研究》中建立了弯曲隐球酵母共发酵厨余垃圾中葡萄糖和N-乙酰氨基葡萄糖生产微生物油脂的方法,提高了油脂生产效率,同时利用脱矿废液协同生产微生物油脂,实现了废液的回收利用。张家璇同学以第一作者身份发表学术论文一篇。

经评委会无记名投票表决,一致同意张家璇同学通过硕士学位论文答辩,建议授予张家璇工学硕士学位。
